Where is THE question? As in "Mr. Ryan, why is it so important to yourself to include private insurance companies as the central part of our health care system when the rest of the world has shown us those are unnecessary?"

In fact, it would be the one shining and unusual moment in the modern GOP's 45-year Reign of Rotten . . . a plan which ACTUALLY HELPS PEOPLE.

All the GOP has to do is the right thing. All the GOP has to do is move into the 20th century with the rest of their industrialized nation counterparts. The GOP would be able to make history.

But they're not about leaving a legacy of compassion, unless it's to wealthy folks.

They're about crushing authoritarianism, Social Darwinism and stark, cruel PUNISHMENT. They're not even about advancing conservative political position. They're just about being corporate dictators.

it seems like the only reason we don't have single payer is that it is a sane, affordable policy.

Can't have that

So yay, let's forget any notion of a public option for the next two decades. God FORBID Holy Joseph's board member constituents in the medical insurance racket have their lives be made even one atom-speck less comfortable.

"It just didn't have the votes" is the problem of the legislators, not the issue.

I seriously cannot believe Lieberturd even has ONE defender on this site. He's half the reason Gore lost to the Failure Fuhrer.

She just won't stand for any system that allows federal officials to evaluate and decide whether an individual is "worthy of health care." I expect to hear her condemnation any minute now.
