Democrats exploring lawsuit

BY JORDAIN CARNEY - 04/27/17 07:09 PM EDT

Senate Democrats are exploring a lawsuit against President Trump on the grounds that his vast business empire has created conflicts of interest that violate the Constitution ...

“We’re looking at that," Feinstein told constituents ... "The hope is that there will be 41 of us that will be on that court case" ...

"We're very seriously considering all the courses of action that may be open to us because these conflicts of interest are so serious ... and they effect not only the president very deeply but also others in the administration," <Blumenthal> said ...

If I had a couch, I 'd search between the cushions..
gonna check my pockets.
Ideas on the why, how much, for this lawsuit?

Seems to me that the problem is going to be standing. In order to file a Civil suit, you have to show that you, personally, have been harmed by the person you are sueing. It would be tough for the Democrats to show. How have they, as individuals or as a Party, been harmed by 45's conflicts of interest?

Trying to make a Criminal case would also present problems, since the President could simply pardon himself for whatever crime he is accused of.
