What is the Democratic Party to do, the party of jobs knows there are no jobs.

In the past 2 months the retail industries threw in the brick and mortar estimated to close 8000 stores this year.

This will effect about 4000 malls, thousands of local delivery truck drivers, food courts workers and billions of community tax revenue.

Everybody new this was coming but nobody prepared for it.

Until Macy jumped, then the CEO's threw in the towel, rent and lack of people was no longer a reason to fight the web based systems.

that went overseas are not coming back even if they don't pay any taxes because they only pay employees pennies a day. Why do you think the Trumps keep their jobs over there?

If Trump is supposedly worried about shipping jobs off-shore, he should equally be worried about shipping US income off-shore to dodge tax liabilities, as they park their money in foreign lands that benefit other countries. It's just another hypocrisy to highlight.

solar farms and wind farms to build, much research needed into many areas.
I don't think my state has repaired a damned road in ten years.

That's just to start.

Dems would go far advocating for higher min wage, job retraining like Germany has, and labor protections for jobs like Uber driver.

Speaking as someone who does nothing but contract work(though I'm hoping to find something full time soon), it seems like nothing more than a way to allow employers to get around paying employment taxes. I'm in writing, but I'm sure it is even worse for people working for Uber. I've heard they're pretty awful.

Don't lose hope - the US has the best universities in the world and attracts talent to fund biotech and tech where many jobs are being created.

The problem is all those jobs are being created in cities.

In before "education is free; the piece of paper that proves the education isn't".

It isn't just education; necessities are ridiculously expensive.

control. The government needs to start spending on green infrastructure, shift taxes to the rich, pull the money out of our imperial military, and start spending money at home. Government employment has gone way down over the last 8 years, because Republicans demanded it, as they didn't want to spur the economy under a Democrat. If we can't guarantee a job for everyone who needs one, then we need to guarantee a minimum income for everyone.

Nowadays. Recently I wanted a jacket in a particular color. Spent a day going to 4 Macy's, 2 J.C. Penney's and Ross and Marshalls. Ended up ordering on Amazon and got it two days later.

We needed a new computer the only two places that had it were Best Buy and frys. Could have got it online for $50 cheaper plus free shipping. I bit the bullet and brought it from Best Buy. But is not easy.

I wanted a particular book went to Barnes and noble and books inc. couldn't find the book. Ordered it online.

I like shopping but finding what you want in stores is getting harder and harder.
