(51,550 posts)A lot of Californians just don't vote since they think their vote is not important when the state is already blue. They don't realize how many fucking Republicans we send to Congress from red districts that could easily flip blue if we all voted.
Keep repeating until people are sick of it and sick of you, and then keep repeating it!

I found out about them right after the election and I've been following their suggestions out here in Colorado every since. Get involved with your grassroots/local Dems. Knock on doors, talk to friends and acquaintances about how to make a change for the better. And - yes - VOTE! I'll be damned if I let my Colorado representatives get off the hook. The Repugs are going to go!

(51,550 posts)He has been my congressman since 1989. I fucking hate him.
Thankfully, Rohrabacher has a strong Democratic challenger now, Harley Rouda. Rohrabacher raised $223,000 in the quarter and has $204,500 cash on hand. Rouda, a Laguna Beach businessman, raised $215,000 including $56,000 of his own money, and has $200,000 remaining. https://www.indivisible49.com/news/2017/4/24/congressional-challengers-in-district-49-already-raising-big-money-oc-register
