Most outrageous action by US president & Trump refuses to speak to American people
Our country is now in a SERIOUS crisis -- this is no longer hyperbole, or the democrats complaining, or whatever idiotic comments republicans have been making to dismiss the importance of Trump's behavior and the Russia investigation. Trump is not even PRETENDING to behave like a president at this point. He is abusing every institution that checks the president's power (judiciary, the FBI, harassing members of congress, etc). We have a third world dictator on our hands, firing the key people investigating him and actively trying to impede the congressional investigations. Now he has crippled the FBI investigation on PURPOSE. It seems to me that neither our media nor our own politicians seem to know how to deal with the enormity of this event and what it means for the country.
I think we can infer from Trump's actions that he is absolutely terrified about the Russia investigation (as if we have to even say this), and he is stepping far, far outside of appropriate presidential behavior to stop it. The country is in its most serious political crisis since Nixon -- or even the Civil War. Honestly the very integrity of our nation is at stake now with a president CLEARLY behaving outside of his own power as president. I am absolutely sickened by this because I think we still have folks in the media, and of course republicans who care more about party than country, who are not taking this as seriously as they should be -- we are on the brink as a nation.
