The US needs to split into two countries

I'm sorry to say this but the US really needs to split along progressive and conservative lines and become two countries. I have come to the conclusion that most conservative religious wing nuts are just too stupid to live. Let the new conservative country give the wealthy massive tax cuts and let's the 99% die of starvation. They don't deserve any better.

How do you move people all over the current country to the 'new' country they align with politically?

Remember how well things went when India divided into Muslim and Hindu countries? Splitting the country in two would displace millions of us in red and purple states.

... I live in the blue Northeast. I prefer to travel only to blue states (was just out in CA for a great vacation). If we can figure out how to link CA, OR, WA, CO, IL, the Northeast, and other traditional blue areas let the red states sink. Once we get our progressive friends and family the hell out of there to resettle in the blue states.

5. Umm, that would be a mess.

Considering just about every state (even those considered solidly "blue" or "red&quot has its own little various pockets of blue and red within them. Hell, even counties and cities have varying demographics.

Asking the country to split along both political and geographic lines would pretty much mean disintegration of the entire country. It wouldn't be a neat two-way split.

Also, I'm never much of a fan of telling people to die of starvation. But that's just me.
