1. not without republican cooperation. it takes 2/3rds in the senate to remove.

impeachment is possible with a simply majority in the house, that part is possible.

though democrats might not pursue that if they know they don't have the votes to remove in the senate.

unfortunately, we're not like republicans that way.

5. We absolutely would impeach and put the onus on the Republicans not to convict him in the Senate

3. oh, and as for president pelosi, no way.

republicans will at least control the timing so that a newly appointed republican veep can become president.

they'll *never* remove republicans to end up with a democrat as president.

4. It takes a 2/3 vote to remove.

And they both aren't going to be removed simultaneously. President Pence would appoint a new vice president.

14. Pence could go before Trump.

Then the question would be how quickly a new VP would be selected and confirmed. With all the disarray in the Repub party, I could imagine the VP slot being vacant for a while.

9. That's a Big IF

The House is doable, especially if Dolt 45 keeps on going the way he is and the idiot rethugs in Congress keep looking away from the dumpster fire. The Senate, not so much. Too many rethugs in the way.

10. They will not be impeached simultaneously

If Trump is impeached/removed or resigns, Pence becomes president and nominates a VP. If Pence is impeached/removed or resigns first, Trump nominates a VP. There is No. Flipping. Way. that they will nominate any Dem. And--if the Dems make demands about who to nominate, or if they refuse to confirm a reasonable nominee, it will look like a political power grab, pure and simple. Trust me: We don't want to go there.

11. If we get control of both houses, the ONLY correct solution

Would be to first vote Hillary Clinton as Speaker. THEN impeach the Republican Ticket.

Yes, it can be done. There's no requirement that the Speaker be a sitting member of Congress, to my knowkedge.

13. It all depends on the composition of the Senate at the time.

The Senate must confirm the president's choice of VP. Gerald Ford was confirmed 92-3 in 1973.

If we retake the Senate in 2018, then Dense, Dump or whomever is POTUS would have to choose a moderate as VP.

It is extremely unlikely that they will be simultaneously be removed.

15. Won't have the votes in the Senate after 2018

The Republicans only have 8 seats up in 2018, 5 of those are considered very safe.

Say we do well and win 4 republican seats and lose none of the 26 we have to defend. We basically flip the current make up, it would then be 52 Democrats and Independents versus 48 Republicans. You think you could get 15 of them to vote to remove a Republican administration and install a Democratic one?

Nothing is impossible but I would say that scenario is very unlikely.

16. Let's take this one as far as we can...

Step 1: We retake the House and Senate in 2018.

Step 2: We impeach the mangled apricot hellbeast and his loyal sidekick Pence. We HAVE to impeach and remove Pence first, then refuse to hold hearings on Trumpler's choice to replace. We use a time-honored technique to win the votes of enough cross-aisle senators to remove the two of them: you vote to get rid of these traitors, or we will make Vladimir Putin your running mate and by the time November 2020 comes around, you'd lose to Jeffrey Dahmer.

Step 3: Nancy Pelosi is sworn in as President. She nominates Hillary Clinton as her vice-president, and Mrs. Clinton is approved by the Senate.

Step 4: The second Mrs. Clinton is sworn in as Vice-President, Mrs. Pelosi resigns as president and flies back to California to stand in the special election for her old seat.

Step 5: The now-President Clinton nominates Tim Kaine as her vice-president.

Step 6: We arrest and imprison the entire Trump Bund and overturn everything they've done.

Step 7: We start looking for reasons to get Neil Gorsuch out of the Supreme Court. We could always go the Samuel Chase route - he was impeached for letting his partisan leanings affect his court decisions. Gorsuch is bound to have done that by the time 2019 rolls around; Chase was acquitted by the Senate but a Trump nominee won't be so lucky.

- - - - -

Naturally, none of that will happen; we'd be better off sending Trump gift cards for fast food restaurants and hope he manages to eat himself to death.
