Stay strong, Georgia!

(794 posts)I have had to block Osoff to the point that I no longer care whether he wins. I sent $250 via ActBlue. Then my email got flooded with 8+ emails/day. I finally sent them all to Junk. Then his programmers found a new way and I again got 10 emails/day from fake addresses, begging and whining. This is abusive.
Osoff is a despicable person; his redeeming feature is that he is less despicable than Karen Handel.
I was ready to send $1000, but his harrassment of emails stopped me. And stops me from using ActBlue ever again.

(19,201 posts)a solicitation sent from Al Franken today. It was great to hear about Quist's native Montanan campaign, so I sent a $50 donation. When I received the thank you email I noticed that only HALF of the donation went to Quist! Al Franken got the other half. I wish I knew that was going to happen, or I would have donated directly. I've given PLENTY to Al in the past month or so. I guess I'll have to go to Quist's web-site and make another, smaller donation to make up for what Al scammed out of me. I'd complain, but Al's just so darned nice, and well, people LIKE him.

(6,008 posts)Donate to him, and to Rob Quist and Archie Parnell - let's kick those bastards out one seat at a time!
We're in the last few days for Rob Quist, and it looks like it's going to be a close one. He's been closing the gap and the polls are closer than ever. Let's keep the momentum going and get a seat back from the bastards.

(15,286 posts)Afaik, this is the first poll by a non-partisan outfit. The other polls showing the race much closer were done by Republican pollsters who seem to have used a more traditional likely voter model that favors Rs turning out more than Ds.
This poll is interesting in that the voters surveyed said they voted for Clinton over Trump 48-44 so it could be capturing an enthusiasm gap or a lot of voters embarrassed to admit they voted for him. It also reported that 54% of Ossoff voters have already cast ballots as opposed to 42% of Handel voters.

(58,785 posts)but Republicans outnumber Democrats in the general assembly by almost 2 to 1. Just being this close, inspiring Democrats and left-leaners and scaring the pants of the right with this harbinger of the future, is already a very significant part of what there is to be won.

(19,201 posts)and a lot of crooked Republicans between now and June 20. I'm cautiously optimistic, but until the last vote is counted, AND CERTIFIED, I'm not going to hold my breath. We've all seen the lengths these rat bastards will go to in order to win. Time to send another donation. My inbox is packed, everyday, with solicitations from Democrats. I'll do MORE than I should, but the upcoming special elections will have a noted effect on the mid-terms, if my hunch is correct. The 2018 mid-terms are probably the most important election cycle I can ever remember in my 67 years. And THAT is NOT an exaggeration! We gotta' kick some GOP ASS!

(18,124 posts)is a RW rag and I would never trust anything said in and from that news source. Don't misunderstand me, I would like the Democrat to win, yet after all the polls and HRC leading up to Nov. 8, that day that will live in infamy, voter intimidation and suppression especially given it's a southern state. Yes I am saying the state that went for Wallace-Lemay in 68 is still wallace/lemay/sessions territory/country.
