So, the man acting as our President scolded our NATO allies

about "paying their share." He still does not understand how this all works, and runs his yap stupidly at this NATO meeting. This is the man who represents our nation to the world. I am beyond being embarrassed.

My sincere apologies go out to our European allies. We will try very hard to do better than this.

Turn their backs on him when he speaks to demonstrate their response to the contempt Trump shows for our allies.

This is a disgrace!

Perhaps we can do better at electing Presidents in 2020. We did a lousy job in 2016. I'm imagining Hillary Clinton's remarks at this meeting. They are far superior to Trump's.

Has a Russian agent ever addressed NATO before?
Literally the other leaders were like "Oh! THIS is why we started this organization, to protect against Russian power"

states into the organization. Most have very serious economic problems. Trump simply has no understanding of why NATO was created and what it is responsible for doing. In fact, Trump has no understanding of anything having to do with international relationships. He is ignorant and is deliberately so.

The rest of the people in the room understand that diplomacy begins with courtesy and respect. Donald Trump has neither of those qualities. The rest are showing forbearance in the face of rudeness. That is the mark of a person of courtesy and proper manners.

What Trump does not understand, and will never understand, is that his petty, jingoistic remarks will earn him nothing but the silent contempt of the other people present there. He has blown his chance to show leadership qualities and will gain nothing from his poor behavior and disrespect for our allies.

Trump is Fail!

"We" will not try harder. "We" is the current leader of foreign policy. "We" elected a Russian agent. Sixty-three million people voted for Trumpy to be our collective "We".

Please try to make sense out of something else. Your "apology" is as misdirected and unrepresentative of the population as Mickey Mouse commanding an army of brooms to fill the sorcerer's backyard swimming pool.

Trumpy's in a tough spot. Have sympathy for him. He's got to pretend that he's not advocating for the dissolution of NATO, as Putin wishes. He's got to raise the flag of the Red Herring. NATO knows this. No one is being fooled.

Their body language was telling.

Then he says, "I'm not going to ask how much this beautiful building cost".

I didn't watch it, so I didn't hear him say that. The man has no tact whatsoever.

Maybe he should come back home and pay all the contractors and workers he has stiffed over the years.

I flipped on my TV to CNN and it was in the middle of a speech at a dedication ceremony. It was a very formal event. Audience of about 30 leaders (Presidents/Prime Ministers) They are all standing and he starts talking about how they aren't paying their share. I saw at least two leaders roll their eyes. One put his hand over his mouth.

He ends his speech with "I'm not going to ask how much this beautiful building cost".
