For 230+ years, Benedict Arnold's name has be synonymous with treason.

It's now an adjective to describe all traitors, whether it be something as minor as a kid helping the other team in a game of capture the flag, or as serious as a CIA employee selling state secrets.

Without minimizing the reasons for Arnold's infamy, people may want to reconsider this expression after this Russian investigation is all over.

The AMC series set during the American Revolution was magnificent. It went into the whole Benedict Arnold scenario that led to his execution for Treason during the 3rd season. British Major John Andre, was also executed for his part in Arnold's treason.
