Early last month, the Trump administration told the Russians that it would consider turning the properties back over to them if Moscow would lift its freeze, imposed in 2014 in retaliation for U.S. sanctions related to Ukraine, on construction of a new U.S. consulate on a certain parcel of land in St. Petersburg.
Two days later, the U.S. position changed. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak at a meeting in Washington that the United States had dropped any linkage between the compounds and the consulate, according to several people with knowledge of the exchanges.

This is McCarthyism and a witch hunt. What's so bad about Trump talking to Russians? Peace is great. Putin is a strong leader. They only want to fight ISIS. All of the NYT and WaPo stories are just fake news. The deep state wants a coup against the elected president.



I'm so tired of this. Not only alt right trolls, but also what I call "alt left" trolls who support the Seth Rich conspiracy theory and claim that all the Trump/Russia stuff is made up, simply because they hate Hillary and love Bernie. I mean, I like Bernie (and Hillary), but come on. Hillary didn't order the DNC to kill Seth Rich. And all the FBI/investigation stories about Trump/Russia are not just made up.

I know that reading YouTube comments is a bad idea, but reading the YouTube comments of the recent David Pakman Show segment about the Seth Rich story really ruined my day. I'm sure those commenters will find a good reason why this report is either fake news, or it's perfectly fine for Trump to do this.
