How do we stay sane with all this shit Trump is doing to our country?

That is something that has been going through my mind, especially these last few weeks.

My daughter graduated from high school tonight and when they played the Star Spangled Banner, I choked up. How many times have I/we all heard this at sports events and life events, only to just be proud, but not really thinking about our beautiful America? Tonight was different for me. It was like that feeling of falling in love all over again. And then my other daughter ( who lives in Michigan) texted me about what Trump did today. As I looked at all these young graduates step into the next "season" of their life, I felt sadness, but also hope.

How do we get through this shit Trump is doing without losing our sane mind?

Hope. Not too long ago, I remember someone saying, The Audacity to Hope.

We have to keep hope.

We have to resist even when others strive every hard pass this nightmare off as normalcy. We have to keep speaking out with our voices and saying :No, this is not normal. This is not White House business as usual. Our nation is in peril.

Too bad you aren't a registered as a deputy voting registrar in your county. Think how many 18 yr old graduates you could have registered to vote. Well you can still become a deputy registrar or volunteer in some other way to elect Dems in 2018. Because if we don't start winning elections, we will never kick these greedy criminal Republicans out of office.

The way we get thru this is to grit our teeth and become more resolved than ever to kick the bums out. The way we get thru this is to encourage one another to stay strong and not fall into despair. The way we get thru this is talk about ethical morality, virtue, justice, and generosity as higher, more noble values than the relentless pursuit of money.

Don't like Trump? Win more elections. Simple as that. That is what we must do. Re-take the Congress in 2018 and shut him down. All energy should be focused on that and winning local elections too.
