Massive crack in Antarctica ice shelf grows 11 miles in only 6 days

A massive crack in an Antarctic ice shelf grew by 11 miles in the past six days as one of the world's biggest icebergs ever is poised to break off.

Only eight miles remain until the crack in the Larsen C ice shelf cuts all the way across, producing an iceberg about the size of the state of Delaware.

Adrian Luckman of Project MIDAS, a British Antarctic research project that's keeping watch on the ever-growing crack, said it's the largest jump since January. The full process is known as "calving," the timing of which is "very close," he added.

Once the iceberg breaks off, it "will fundamentally change the landscape of the Antarctic Peninsula," he said.

I just watched Rep. Collins from NY on CNN saying that more global warming is good. It means more vegetation. He said the ocean would soak up the heat. It's what 'scientists' told him on his recent visit to the Arctic circle. He's a republic so it must be true. Jobs and freedom, you know.

I also heard another republic say that God would take care of it, so it's okay.

Nothing to see here, apparently. It's okay.

Think of all the JOBS that will be created.

Someone has to redraw the maps.
Someone has to update the Internet about all this.
It will take millions of very smart people to accomplish those tasks.

Manufacturing will increase bigly.
Millions more will be put to work making all the pumps to save our shorelines.
Possibly billions of hardworking Americans will be needed to install and monitor those pumps.

Those workers will not be in a high enough tax bracket to take advantage of the new tax breaks so our ecomomy will grow with a rate unknown before in the history of the world.

I could continue but I think by the reaction on your face, you get the point.

Make America Great Again.
