Only public schools require their students to take the regents exams. Most of the "academically prestigious" NY private schools (like the one Barron goes do) do not take them.

I went to a Catholic high school in New York State in the 60s - we (and all the other Catholic high schools in town) took the same Regents exams as the public schools did, at the end of June. IIRC, it was required for the school to be certified by the state. But this was well before the rise of charter schools and home schooling and all.

She is desperate to not be First Lady and will do as little as possible.
That's probably why Ivanka moved to Washington. To take up the duties to a degree.

I just imagine what the rightwing would be doing if Michelle behaved this way and say, Valerie Jarrett had to take over duties at times because Michelle refused to move from Chicago with the girls.
