**And This: Most Admired in the World**
"Hillary has been chosen as the most admired woman in the world for the last 14 years and has been first for 20 years in all. First ladies traditionally have been chosen, but she was chosen over Laura Bush for 5 years during GW Bush Admin"
Hillary Clinton has served as secretary of state, U.S. senator from New York, first lady of the United States, first lady of Arkansas, a practicing lawyer and law professor, and activist.
Sanders has a long way to go to have the creds of these two most admired.
Just Sayin.

(26,371 posts)For people who are actually interested in things like making the world better, it's a great thing that such a popular political figure is on our side.
For those solely interested in message board grudges and drama, not so much.

(101,311 posts)Most recent 'approval' poll for Obama: 62% favorable, 36% unfavorable http://pollingreport.com/obama_fav.htm
For Sanders: Dec 14-18, 2016: 51% favorable, 34% unfavorable http://pollingreport.com/S-Z.htm
It's also unlikely that Sanders is more popular than Obama with Europeans.

(54,369 posts)Ask anyone who lives in Europe, travels to several countries a week and speaks the language of every country he visits (like me, for example). Most Europeans don't even know who Sanders is. Just like in the USA, what the average big city university student knows is not necessarily what the average man/woman on the street knows. They ALL know who Hillary, Obama and Trump are. Most Europeans like two out of those three.

(108,977 posts)The polls you are referring to include only people who are currently in office, so they exclude both Obama and Hillary.

(146,288 posts)I'm not sure what this would mean, really, even if it were true.
So, 1000 people showed up in Berlin to see him? That's a nice turnout for a book launch. But, the primary in 2016 is long over, now. I'm not sure what relevance your information, even if it were accurate, really has.
