ISIS condemns Kathy Griffin

RAQQA, Syria — The self-proclaimed Islamic State has issued a statement condemning self-proclaimed comedian Kathy Griffin, accusing her of “cultural appropriation” after she posed for a photograph with a mock severed head of President Donald Trump.

The group, which has been protective of its brand ever since taking over vast swaths of Iraq and Syria and establishing itself as the premier beheading agency in the Middle East, said it was deeply disturbed by Griffin’s “ignorant and offensive” use of a “sacred Islamic State tradition.”

“This is just another example of a privileged white woman culturally appropriating the proud custom of a marginalized people. Beheadings are our thing, not your thing,” said the statement, which was released on Telegram.

Reports indicate that ISIS was at least somewhat relieved to see the swift and overwhelming backlash against Griffin on social media.

I've done my fair share of condemning nugent and other assholes who've said Obama, HRC, and others should be shot or hung over the last fourteen years.

But we should recognize that the ONE goal of all right wing media right now is to distract us, and they are doing that by trying to find and amplify small points of outrage.

Griffin was wrong. But she had her 15 minutes. The longer we talk about her the more we help Trump and the GOP.

I couldn't stand her w Anderson Cooper on NYE, only because she said stupid, not clever, stuff. One year, she took off her top and bra, surprising, but not witty.

The Repubs are latching on to this. What she did was inappropriate, but not that big of a deal. We need to quit feeding it. I don't care for her, but I sure don't want to see ISIS go after her. There was a magazine cover w the Statue of Liberty's head being cut off by DT (I can't remember which magazine for sure), but I thought that seemed right on. I Guess ISIS missed that one.
