Part of comedy is pushing limits. When you push a limit, sometimes the limit pushes back. Stonepounder Jun 2017 #5
Exactly. Thank you. Sometimes we get caught up in the "outrage" of it all. erronis Jun 2017 #7

bot driven attempt to get us to takw our eye off the ball....the big fat orange ball of shit that is destroying our democracy.

Do you have a problem with Kathy Griffin or Bill Mahr? They are incredibly easy to deal with... turn them off. There is an OFF button and you all possess it.

We should take a lesson from the Brits... KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON. Let's stop focusing on outrage and start focusing on solutions.

Were KG and BM wrong... absolutely, but we can turn them OFF.

Yes, we have an OFF button. I remember, years and years ago, tuning into some Don Rickles late-night special on some cable channel. I watched about 10 minutes and turned it OFF. I found his vulgarity way over my line.

(Of course I grew up in a family where you just didn't swear (my father was a minister) and particularly didn't swear in front of my mother. You didn't even swear in the locker room if there was any chance that the gym teacher could hear you. I kinda miss that, since today swear words have lost their punch.)

But I didn't write to the paper, or the cable network about Mr. Rickles, I just turned him OFF.

Keep your eye on the ball, folks. Our main concern is the orange shitgibbon, not whether this commedian or that commedian went over the line. I would much rather hear Bill Mahr say the n* word than hear the cop on the beat say 'Papers please'.

signs that a few of those 2 dozen or so Drumpfcultists were carrying at that sad little "rally" yesterday. As I see it, the only 2 "promises" he's kept are the bullshit, unconstitutional travel ban & this horrific Paris Accord pull-out. He lied about virtually everything else, from Medicare to the ACA, to Social Security to SNAP--basically everything that keeps those suckers in the red states alive.
