Behavior is what counts. What did they do and when did they do it?

from the beginning. This group would have to also lack moral compasses, though. Many of the things he and they've done are so obviously very wrong and others so highly questionable that they should have wondered.

But these are the people who weren't smart enough to stay the heck away (or too extremist to want to), so I think we can assume the whole lot are extremely "morally challenged" at best and also most of them every bit as self-deluded intellectually challenged as the typical Republican of today has become.

The nepotism is all the proof I need to know that this was a well thought out play for as much $$$ as possible.

Look, let's face up to it. Unless you're in a public career job that requires honesty and integrity, chances are that, if you are successful in your job, you got there with some degree of skill in the fluid veracity department.

I'll agree that there are still jobs in the private sector that support good, honest employees, but for the most part, if there is any political wrangling required in your job, it's a good bet that have learned to lie proficiently. And if there is push back you know how to straighten your back and spit out the, "You are impugning my reputation" gaslighting gambit.

So, Trump's people are not stupid. They are just in a position where their style of lies and deceit are under the microscope. And it looks as ugly as watching cancer cells.

There was nothing about what they have done and continue to do that is "silly" or "well-intentioned" except to enrich themselves. I expect none of them thought what they were doing before the election was "illegal" (although they probably attempted to frame it as being in a gray area).... And after the election during the transition, they didn't give a shit about whether it was illegal or not because they had a "Pardon Get out of Jail Free Card".
