(4,742 posts)Fewer jobs/hiring, increased layoffs and closures, less demand for business supplies/goods, etc. I don't really want that to happen to the good people who work hard out there. But that will get the right's attention especially before the 2018 election.

Until that happens, nothing will happen. Nothing.
Next option is the midterms, but with everything the Republicans have done to rig the system, we can't put all of our eggs in that basket. Might happen, might not happen. And if McConnell and Ryan remain in charge of a Republican House and Senate until 2020, the next option is a Democratic President, which means a repeat of McConnell's vow to make that person a "one-term President," unless the Senate and House fall as well.
