in the Mays Pond neighborhood. At the time, Mill Creek only allowed community garage sales twice a year, so I went there to pick up some stuff cheap. You had two kinds of people there, those who negotiated for a living (you just move on when you have one of those types) and those who had no retail negotiation skills whatsoever, because they had enough money to buy anything they wanted. One look at the books/music for sale, and I knew enough to charm them out of anything for way less than the asking price.
