Here's a good, rational article from the LA Times on what to expect. Very calming.
Q&A What to expect from James Comey's testimony on Thursday
Why is Comey going back in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee? Hasn't he testified twice already this year?
Good question.
During a House Intelligence Committee hearing in March, Comey and National Security Agency Director Adm. Michael S. Rogers confirmed that the FBI was investigating Russias possible coordination with people in the Trump campaign. That same day, Trump dismissed the story as fake news.
Comey and Rogers also testified that they had no evidence to back Trumps claims that President Obama had wiretapped Trump Tower.
In May, just days before Comey was fired, he testified before a Senate Intelligence Committee and defended how he handled the FBIs investigation during the campaign into Hillary Clintons email practices while she was secretary of State. In that hearing, he repeated that the FBI was continuing to investigate Trump associates possible coordination with Russia.
But a lot has happened since then....

Don't expect any major revelations, but I am thrilled with the media hype . Media coverage might be the real story here, as far as impact on the populace.

(15,543 posts)they likely shared with their republican Draft Dodger-in-Chief on Tuesday evening, as they dined in gourmet luxury at taxpayer expense with Donnie 'Two Scoops' at The White House.
Undoubtedly the republicans smacked their flabby lips, as they relished heaps of exquisite russian caviar.
How nice to share a taxpayer-funded luxurious gourmet meal with the very Casino Sharpie that you are supposed to be overseeing and investigating for TREASON against these United States of America. Cozy.
republicans show no loyalty to America. No honor.

(1,387 posts)Hopefully, Trump's reaction on Thursday will be over the top(for Trump that is). The more people he alienates the better . Hoping for trickle-up patriotism, from the people to Congress. Gonna take forever, I'm afraid, unless someone tosses a Hail Mary touchdown.
