2. Considering Prime Mom means diapers are 20% off...

... with subscribe and save, that could really help some families. I use my Prime to buy the huge Luvs packs for friends with kids who can't afford the membership, cheaper than buying at WM. Unless you're already satisfied with Parents Choice for diapers, it could come out breaking even, if not better, even if you only had to buy one box a month and that was it.

Plus Prime has a lot of kids TV free for streaming, including educational programming.

6. The big business of the future is targeted services for the poor.

Not big banking services, etc. It's discount services for the poor, people with no credit, etc. Amazon is just looking to expand their customer base since that segment of society is expanding.

about it. Of course they earned every benefit and perk they may get from their job and status, even if it's something people in the early labor movement paid dearly for.

8. They're big fans of the "bad choices" mantra

Their own success is purely the result of their own hard work and good decision making, while poor people are poor because they're lazy and they make bad decisions. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Sadly, I've seen that same sentiment expressed here at DU more than a few times.

Regular prime is $99 a year, or $8.25 a month.

According to this students get 6 months free and then a 50% discount.

So their whole shitfit is about them getting a whopping $2.26 discount over regular rate and paying almost $2 more than students do.

Shows just how petty they are...

10. This is a no brainer; good on Amazon!

For many poor rural and city families, local purchases can be overpriced and transportation to good shopping venues are expensive and time consuming. The logistics of traveling around with kids and getting home with sacks of groceries is a hardship for many. With Amazon necessary household items, most non perishable foods, clothing and shoes, school supplies are often cheaper and they get it delivered to their door without having to plan a day trip just for shopping.

That's a smart decision for everyone.

Amazon is going after a big and growing demographic - the ever-expanding ranks of the poor.

Get over it.

16. Amazon pantry free delivery is on Prime membership

For a certain amount of purchase, of course. This can be a critical lifeline for the poor or housebound in food and grocery deserts.
Also, the Pantry prices are comparable to discount prices.
This is a good thing.
