Comey offers dramatic details of Trump meeting in opening statement

Fired FBI Director James Comey on Thursday will confirm reports that President Trump pressed him to let go of the bureau’s investigation into former national security advisor Michael Flynn.

Comey on Wednesday released the opening statement of his highly anticipated testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

In an encounter shortly after Flynn’s, Comey's statement says, Trump said he hoped that Comey could "let go" of the investigation.

In another, Comey reports that the president said to him, "I need loyalty. I expect loyalty."

pressuring is a vague term. I was hoping to see findings about trump and russia connection but it wasn't there. The reality is that trump has been able to get out of situations like these so far with thanks to gop shield. Impeachment will require charges, house vote and 2/3 senate majority vote. there is no new info, nothing we didn't know. Attempting to obstruct justice is not the same as actual obstrucion. The investigation was not affected by trump.

If there would be a finding that putin has compromising info on trump, then we're talking.

Let's also get real, Nixon didnt really get impeached, he resigned. No chance of that happening with trump.

goes to him and tells him they're off his train and he's on his own, he'll resign knowing the jig is up. Which is why my fervent wish is this drags out until early fall 2018, and then explodes just before the midterms. Nothing will get done with the cons in control of both houses.
