I'm playing devils advocate because given the amount of smoke it's hard to see how there couldn't be some level of collusion. But let's say that the investigation doesn't unearth any smoking gun that leads directly to impeachment. Then what? I say this because clearly trump needs to be impeached. But the republicans don't have the best interests of their country on mind of course and the only way they will impeach trump is when it looks like he will drag them down with him. So what is the next step IF the Russian investigation doesn't turn up enough?

And I'm a worst/best case scenario person IRL. In almost all things I'm constantly trying to figure out each side, identify issues and prepare myself as best as possible for any possible outcome.
