I can't say I've ever believed Trump was the subject of a counterintelligence investigation. He's just not smart or disciplined enough to pull off a big co-ordinated plan with Russia. FBI/NSA/CIA have flatly denied Trump's claim that he was "wire tapped", something that surely would have happened had there been a counterintelligence investigation of Trump.
