I think Trump fired Comey just so he could get it "out there"

that he was not being investigated. Everyone mentioned how bizarre it was that he included it in his letter to Comey to fire him. EVERYONE!

In Comey's written statement it seems Trump brought that issue up more than any other. He really wanted it "out there" because it was a "cloud" getting in his way of Presidenting. I believe Trump is shallow enough, narcissistic enough and cavalier enough to decide to fire Comey just to get it "out there".

But this is likely to back fire.

I guess the conclusion is the Comey told 45 that he was not under investigation. Okay.

Read between those lines. He was not under investigation as of the time Comey said that. That has nothing to do with what Mueller is doing right this very minute. Plus, it's kind of hard to overlook the fact that ***EVERYONE ELSE*** is being investigated. And what's the common, and unraveling thread? 45 & Russia.

saw this this morning but couldnt leave a comment. After hearing Comey's testimony I actually said the same thing. He wanted Comey or the other heads to come out and say publicly that he wasnt being investigated and when they wouldnt do it, he only fired Comey to put that line in his letter. Nothing more, I dont think its as nefarious as we want it to be, it was just petty and short sighted so he could get that out into the public dialogue.
