McCain's mind was foggy.

McCain kept forgetting the President's name.
Referred to Trump as President Comey on several occasions.

And he repeatedly could not understand how one investigation (Clinton emails) can be concluded,
while a separate investigation (Trump & Russia) is still going on.

He was trying to be "the smartest man in the room" and ended up blubbering...because what he was implying wasn't really making sense.
