The problem with Sessions resigning or being fired

is then DT would get to replace him. And that person wouldn't be recused from the Russia investigation, and would be able to fire Muller.

Right now, Rosenstein would have to do any firing, and he's less like to do so -- as the person who appointed Mueller -- than any new Attorney General who's willing to sign DT's loyalty oath.

The entire Administration is stuck in the LaBrea Tar Pits. The more they struggle, the deeper they sink.

How far into the corner can he paint himself (gawd, it would have to be a BIG corner to contain him!) before it's all over?

and considering they are going to have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find someone willing to take the job, so that person is likely to have marginal qualifications (like Trump's personal attorney, Marc Kasowitz, who seems to be only a few rungs higher on the legal food chain than Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman), and that person isn't quite so likely to be rubber-stamped as some other appointments - GOP Senate or not.

Senate Appropriations subcommittee on Tuesday, June 13th.
CNN reported the Senators WILL be asking more than money questions.

And Kushner will be testifying next week or early the week after. Dunno which committee yet.

Even Trump knows that firing Justice Dept. people has bad results, that may hopefully slow his urge to play The Apprentice script.

No, he would nominate Chris Christie who would crawl over broken glass from NJ to DC to get it and if you're at all interested in Medical Marijuana or legalizing pot, you don't want Chris Christie anywhere NEAR the WH
or the Justice Dept.

Trump firing another person because of the Russian topic. Then having to use even more clout to get someone else confirmed. Then firing another person over the Russia topic. It would take time, clout, and be to our advantage in every way.

be unlikely to do that for several reasons. First, they would have to take authority from Rosenstein, which would be difficult. Second, there would have to be cause, and Mueller is extremely unlikely to do anything that would justify that.
