(13,869 posts)When I spoke to Graham's office I was told that he has committed to support the 'overhaul' of Obamacare. I told them I didn't expect him to break ranks with his Party; the Republicans can just drag their feet on the House bill and make some adjustments to current law to keep premiums from rising next year. She said that was a very good point. She personally sounded like she agreed with that position and assured me that my concern would be passed on to the Senator.

(13,869 posts)I think it was typical politician doublespeak, so Republicans would hear it as 'get rid of Obamacare' while others would hear it as 'keep the good parts of Obamacare.'
I think it is unrealistic to expect a SC Repub to show any tolerance of Obamacare, but in this case their inaction is far better than acting on the horrible House bill.

We are now depending on the Senate to put people over politics and prevent 23 million Americans from losing their health coverage. Call and tweet at these targeted Senators to make sure they protect our care. You can also sign the letter to tell Senate Republicans to #LetUsTestify before they vote on their bill.
