16. I get that was part of the after-the-fact justification for "purging" Christie

I guess my only question would be, if there was this longstanding hatred of Christie inside the Trump camp, how did he get his foot in the door to begin with? I guess the likely answer is that they relied upon his blind ambition and willingness to join the team to garner some respectability in certain Republican circles but were really just fucking with him the entire time.
