Trump Says Market Is Failing, but One Insurer Bets Big on Obamacare

The Obamacare insurance markets aren’t as shaky as President Trump seems to believe.
On Tuesday, the insurer Centene announced plans to expand aggressively into the state marketplaces established under the Affordable Care Act.

Centene said it intended to sell individual policies for the first time in Nevada, Missouri and Kansas, and to grow its presence in six other states, including Ohio and Florida.

The announcement contradicted a narrative Mr. Trump has pushed of a health care system in crisis.

I can't say I hate Twitler because I refuse to expend that level of emotional energy on him. However, it just amazes me that anyone can be that much of a fucking asshole on such a consistent basis. I mean, seriously, that is a skill in and of itself. Imagine what would happen if he invested half that energy into not being the most patriarchal, mysogonistic, racist, science defying ass what he could be. He might just rate decent human being. Sadly, I don't think we will ever know.

then it's time to move in. I'll be more impressed when I find out what Centene is charging for premiums, and how that compares with the previous year's options.

Making insurance companies rich is not health care reform.
