Grenfell Tower fire: Muslims awake for Ramadan among heroes who helped save lives:

Rashida, a local resident, told Sky News how Muslim’s observing Ramadan may have saved lives in the tower block, as many of them were awake.

She said: “Most Muslims now observing Ramadan will normally not go to be until about 2am maybe 2.30am.

“Until they have their late night last meal. They do their last prayer.

I pray that this was not some crazy retaliation. I can't understand how a building like that went up so fast.

3. Unlikely... the emerging news is: corruption ...

... caused by privatization of local powers, likely under the mayoralty of

"Boris-I-Just-Got-Dragged-Through-A-Fucking-Hedge-Backwards-Johnson"

(and his ilk).

Aside from the human tragedy, the probable malfeasance of runaway corporatism with corrupt developers, may have repercussions not only in London, but in other cities worldwide.

4. Apparently the new plastic cladding on the outside of the building caused the building to

go up like a torch. Also, there wasn't a sprinkler system or an alarm system in the building and parts of the stairwell were blocked.

Very tragic and the loss of life would not have been as severe had the building been well maintained and complaints been addressed. They expect that more bodies will be found since they don't believe anyone on the top three floors survived at all.
