While news breaks continue to reveal more and more information about the shooting at the GOP baseball practice in Virginia where Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and other Republican members of Congress were practicing for a game with Democrats, MSNBCs Joy Reid took to Twitter to decry the partisanship expressed by many of President Donald Trumps supporters.
People blaming the Virginia shooting on Shakespeare (but not easy gun access) have got to be the most ridiculous people on earth, tweeted MSNBC host Joy Reid.
Reid also turned her attention to other mass shootings where many of the Republicans decrying Wednesdays shooting remained comparably silent.
Remember when the Gabby Giffords shooting was the moment we said enough!? Then Aurora? Then Newtown? Then Charleston? We dont learn, she tweeted.

(9,426 posts)The gop are busy rewriting a healthcare bill that nobody agrees with. They are doing it with NO input from Democratic representatives. No reporters allowed to question any of them in the halls. NOW, they want everyone to come together? For 8 solid years, they blocked President Obama from getting anything done, cheering each other on. Imagine how much could have been accomplished if they had "worked together" back then? Now, the bright Orange Mistake is busy destroying the country, and they LOVE him. We have a raving lunatic in the WH, with his nude model wife and "kids" who are busy lining the tRump coffers, and the gop blames the dems. for the unrest in the country? How clueless ARE THESE CLOWNS?

(9,988 posts)And where were Republicans like Paul Ryan claiming that an attack on one in Congress is an attack on all when Gabby Giffords was shot? I don't remember anything other than platitudes and prayers, which seem not to be enough when a Republican is shot. And how about decrying death threats against Democratic candidates who have dropped out of races to protect their families from violence by Republican sympathizers? Lots of Republican objections to this--not!
