The GOP shed its crocodile tears over Gabby Giffords being gunned down. They have vilified and trashed her over time over gun control. Privately they had no real sympathy. So I do not see why one would care about that racist and bigot Scalise. He openly and aggressively apposed Obama over gun control. He was supposedly even endorsed by the KKK. He lives in a state of deplorable state full of bigots and racists who keep electing him.
Now Democrats have shown a lot more class over this shooting the the GOP never have. And GOPPERs of various stripes have called for violence and now call for more guns. The GOP and RW has openly called for violence against progressives, Democrats and the LGBT community. So in the end I do not feel that sorry about Scalise.
GOP silence about RW violence says volumes. And they will continue with their rhetoric and violent policies as we go forward. Their agenda is ultimately violent because it causes misery and death if even more slowly. They will continue to work at trashing health care for 24 million or more.
It is OK for the GOP to attack and disable people and that is OK. There is something wrong with this picture.
Of course nothing justifies this shooting for any reason. And we are better than that in every way. Feeling sympathy is difficult when you see how the GOP has treated Goffords and the Sandy Hook tragedy.

(10,602 posts)The right wing seems to be at it already. In the end they will double down on calling for violence against Democrats, progressives and the LGBT community because of this attack. We must remember that the RW is at war with anything other than their deadly agenda.
I would hope that Scales changes his views on gun control. Only time will tell.
