Caputo was asked in May to testify before the House Intelligence Committee."

(19,201 posts)Dennis Vacco is a heavy hitter! Caputo must be expecting some very heavy shit to be coming down, if he's bringing Vacco on board.

(1,148 posts)Would you represent somebody that you suspected of conspiring with Vladimir Putin to undermine the United States of America? Try to get them off? Collect your chunk of change from Putin's laundered (or is it not so well-laundered?) pocketbook?
I'm trying to make some snap judgments about the character of the 3rd circle of legal counsel.

(1,257 posts)If they were all innocent (yeah, right) of any wrong doing, one would think that they would just let it all just roll off of their back, and let things proceed with any duress or conflicting statements.
Innocent people have no lies to maintain, and the truth is easy to tell.
Now, sure, innocent people have been wrongly accused and convicted in this country, but that concept really does not hold water with this crowd.
They would all look good in orange.

"The F.B.I. is reviewing an unverified dossier, compiled by a former British intelligence agent and funded by Mr. Trumps political opponents, that claims Mr. Cohen met with a Russian representative in Prague during the presidential campaign to discuss Russias hacking of Democratic targets. But the Russian official named in the report told The New York Times that he had never met Mr. Cohen. Mr. Cohen insists that he has never visited Prague and that the dossiers assertions are fabrications."

This guy makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up (like when you're about to get struck by lightning).
The first time I saw him, I immediately saw 'mob' written all over him. He's as dirty and sleazy as they get.

Seriously, what are the odds that Trump didn't know there were so many people with Russian connections getting top positions in his campaign? Who hired all these guys, and why???

This is mobster novel material, through and through. Promises are made, middlemen are paid, lies are told, bosses are notified, handlers go to work, yadda yadda yadda....
and there are now cameras everywhere, gps data, phone data, financial data....
and the best part???
The FBI is PISSED!!!!
This is going to be the zaniest true crime story of all time, and they won't be able to sweep it under the rug.
I expect a solid dozen in jail and a few bodies before it's all told.

(83 posts)I know a little bit about how investigations work. Not a lot, but some. Lots of people are going to be contacted. Lot of people. A great many of them will hire attorneys. I want to see this entire house of cards come down too, I do, but if you start wheezing every time someone is contacted by the FBI you're going to drive yourself crazy. You're watching an iceberg melt, drop by drop. Take a break. Walk around outside. Talk to someone about something you enjoy. Maybe wait a week and come back and read a few headlines. This is going to go slow, you aren't going to miss anything if you take a break.

(83 posts)headlines that screech "BREAKING NEWS" you can read what facts have been uncovered and proven. You have to inhale 100 cubic liters of noxious BS just to get one little chunk of real information when you read everything that comes out every second of every day.
