****BREAKING****He's gonna blow. Trump is yelling at tv sets. Will he pull an Elvis on it?

SING ALONG

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump acknowledged for the first time Friday that he is under federal investigation as part of the expanding probe into Russia’s election meddling. He lashed out at a top Justice Department official overseeing the inquiry, reflecting his mounting frustration with the unrelenting controversy that has consumed his early presidency.

“I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt,” the president wrote on Twitter.

...

His morning missive apparently referred to Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general whose role leading the federal investigation has become increasingly complicated. The White House has used a memo he wrote to justify Trump’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey, but that Trump action may now be part of the probe. Thursday night, Rosenstein issued an unusual statement complaining about leaks in the case.

Trump advisers and confidants describe the president as increasingly angry over the investigation, yelling at television sets in the White House carrying coverage and insisting he is the target of a conspiracy to discredit — and potentially end — his presidency. Some of his ire is aimed at Rosenstein and investigative special counsel Robert Mueller, both of whom the president believes are biased against him, associates say.

Either him or the CIA and intelligence community at large will take care of it. Trump is an obese, 71 year old man who loves junk food, and has the highest pressure job in the world (although, I'm not sure he knows that last part). The only exercise he's ever done is push people around. I see a heart attack in his near future.

tacky, garish interior decorating (have you ever seen Graceland?); shooting televisions; getting fatter and fatter; losing popularity; finally passing into eternity while seated on the toilet...

Elvis, at least, contributed some good music to the world. Dolt 45 hasn't ever contributed anything of value.

Trump is still stuck in his 80's golden era...

Graceland is a microcosm of its time. It's literally a snapshot of 1977, preserved. If you look through the evolution of the house's interior design, Elvis was pretty keen on putting the most trendy and fashionable things in the house and it actually went through a few iterations as trends came and went. If Elvis had lived, the interior of Graceland would certainly have changed just as frequently over the years. I'm totally biased though because I was a lead tour guide for a while there before and during Med school. Had the pleasure of opening or closing the house most days and also giving private tours to VIPs. It was a crazy, memorable, special experience...

in one of the rooms (was it the Jungle Room?). It's true that Elvis' style was different - it was, as you said, '70s tacky; an example of more money than taste. But I think Elvis was decorating for himself and not to impress others. Trump, on the other hand, is stuck in the Excessive Eighties, and his "style" was more or less what would happen if Saddam Hussein's pimp had redecorated Versailles. Trump decorated to impress others with his wealth, but I'm guessing that the people he wanted to impress - NYC old money - weren't.

Working at Graceland must have been a blast.

You are correct, it was the jungle room with shag on the ceiling...it was for a practical purpose actually. In his later years he would record in the JR and he added the shag to the ceiling to act like sound tiles in a recording studio.

I've got enough crazy stories from Graceland to right a book, or at least a diary here. My fav is this one. One evening, I was closing and my two closest childhood friends were coming into town. They had been at my apartment for several hours and I said "Look, go on downtown and I'll meet you after I close up." I knew I had a VIP tour that night, but they never told us who it was until the last second. That night is was Shania Twain and Mutt Lang. This was 1999 so Shania was at her peak. She was a lovely woman and we had fun on the tour. They had their manager tip me, which was always nice, and after we were done that was it...time to close up shop and meet my friends for some beers and blues on Beale St. So we're down there for about thirty mins or so walking around the street, when I feel these arms come behind me and bear hug me. I turned around to see Shania, who kissed me on the cheek and she just gushed about the tour. I hadn't told my friends about showing her through the house, honestly we hadn't had a chance to talk about it. Theirs jaws were on the concrete...speechless. She smiled at them and sad "Hi boys". She and I said goodbye, and she and mutt went on down the street.

I wonder if, when Dolt 45 is no longer with us, his nouveau-riche baroque digs in Trump Tower will be open to the public for tours?

The crowds were enormous, tours sold out daily, and that whole area was booming with business. Elvis was so beloved by so many, International visitors streamed into Memphis for a look at the Kings lifestyle. And yes, Elvis was quite garish. The Graceland TV room was notable in comparison to cheetos hobbies. The place was somewhat comparable to funeral parlor deco, I thought. Again, that reminisces cheetos taste. Graceland seemed so sad and melancholy like so many of Elvis' ballads of life and love lost. Elvis will always be one of my favorite blues artists. Memphis was a great tour city, a birthplace to many great musicians. I think the crowds and that area has since declined significantly. The Sun Studio tour may be closed, (where Elvis got his break) or its a skeleton of the heyday tour days.

The Graceland tour is better than it ever was, even though iPads have replaced real tour guides, and Sun Studios is a phenomenal tour...even though my favorite cafe there, where I ate lunch regularly in Med school, is now the gift shop. Memphis has done an amazing job in the last 15 years of revamping its image, opening some great museums...like the Stax museum and the Rock and Soul museum! I would encourage you to go back, it's a great place!

I would love to see the upgrades. I haven't been there since 2002. I had great times there, going back off and on to the 70s. Was actually living in Memphis when the King died and the city went. in deep mourning for a very long time.

The first thing I would have replaced was that phone. Disconnect the terminal in the wall, then install a wee MP3 chip that plays the dial tone. If necessary, let the phone connect to a few Old Time Radio actors in a prop room. $300K in salaries to prevent MAD is cheap.

If that order needs to happen, it needs to come from the Sit Room and multiple voices.

I know the Red Phone isn't an actual phone. I also know that Two Scoops may not know that, and a prop is just as good if he never knows the difference.
