Sen. Bernie Sanders stormed the Senate floor on Monday to slam the secret Republican effort to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, saying to Republicans, What are you afraid of?
The Vermont senator slammed the GOP plan for its content, its secrecy, and the fact that there have been zero committee hearings on the legislation unprecedented for a bill of this magnitude.

(51,651 posts)Yet, even that idiot called it "mean" and "a son of a bitch". It will pass, he will have a beer-fest in the rose garden, the rich will get richer, millions will lose their jobs, and MILLIONS more will physically suffer and die (I am one of them). Yippee! They won!

Keep up the excellent work, Senator! Give em hell, Bernie!

By Nik DeCosta-Klipa updated at 5:23 PM
"Amid all the noise about President Donald Trump and the Russia investigations, Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren have something else important they want you to pay attention to: Senate Republicans quiet push to to pass a health care bill.
The progressive power duo of New England senators is hosting a Facebook Live question and answer session at 3:30 p.m. Monday on Sanderss well-followed account."

Bernie and Elizabeth are here to kick Republican ass and chew bubblegum, and they're all out of bubblegum.
Thank Cthulhu we have progressive firebrands like them leading the way. Kudos to ALL of the senators who are standing in solidarity to fight Trump's agenda!
We may not win this round but it's important to prevent GOP shills from hogging the media spotlight. We need to use every medium to get our message out - television, newspapers, social media, town halls, rallies - and remind the people who's fighting for them.
How are you, my friend?

(67,782 posts)If anything, I would say Cory Booker "stormed" the Senate floor, he was the Senator who led the Democratic stall tonight.
Booker did a yeoman's job tonight, thanks to the NJ Senator!!!!

(7,681 posts)For you, that is, that you can't resist the urge to shit on this. Just because the hate is so strong.
It's really sad. And embarrassing.

(12,448 posts)of the mighty Bernie Sanders "storming." The truth? Bah! Alternative facts!
(Not to alerter: There was nothing wrong with Bernie speaking, but "storming" is an exaggeration, to say the least.)
Nothing new though.

(37,748 posts)I too pretend accuracy is merely an "urge to shit" as well when my bias and narrative demands it (though no doubt, it certainly does advertise our narrative much more obviously than we realize).
Hopefully, we both find that sad and embarrassing also, regardless of the obvious hate we both allege and project onto others.

It's a good taunt, hyperbole or not. Everyone on the left should be dragging the GOP non-stop over their fake repeal.
