I tried to disabuse them of that absurd and fanciful notion. I failed much to their detriment. They believed he was to Hill's left on the issue.

(99,710 posts)Were going to have insurance for everybody ...There was a philosophy in some circles that if you cant pay for it, you dont get it. Thats not going to happen with us....People covered under the law can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better.

(12,344 posts)I know one Trump voter who knew he would get rid of Obamacare, and therefore voted for him, and another who thought he would bring on single payer. Believe it or not, the more reasonable one thought he would do single payer. People see what they want to see.

Most of these people I come across are more interested in role playing as a revolutionary than actually making a difference, unfortunately.
