Tim Ryan started his bid to unseat Pelosi as Minority Leader in '16.

Ryan, supporter of the Stupak Amendment, still has his little feelings hurt. A strong and powerful woman kicked his ass and he is not over it. Weak and pathetic little man. He lost by an embarrassing vote of 134–63.

This vote took place AFTER Trump was elected.

He is personally invested in becoming leader. That is known. It's not about the greater good. It's not about the good of the party. It's about stroking his puny little ego.

What is this with our Democratic men. Ok. Not all are Democratic. Ryan anyway. Democrats clearly voted Pelosi in. Democrats clearly voted Clinton in. They won. That simple. Now these men are trying to ruin the Democratic Party.

Sanders is not licking any wounds. He's moving on. Fighting for health care right this very minute on the road. He's all about policy. He's just as critical of Democratic men when he disagrees with them. That's quite on unwarranted attack on Sanders. If anything, he's part of saving the party. He's brought millions of new young people into the party and they really listen to him and trust him. Guess you don't value these new ones?

I'm a lifelong Democrat and a woman and have many issues with Pelosi myself. She's been very good on many things but it may be time for her to give way to new voices and new faces. The Democrats should not be in the trouble they're in. Because of their policies, they should be the dominant power in the land because most Americans agree with us on the issues---yet we keep losing. Guess I'm being sexist to say that Pelosi plays a role in our diminishment.

We've lost State Houses. We've lost all three branches of the Federal government. Because of this we've lost the Department of Education. The Department of Energy.

We need to do something radically different and fast, before 2016, to get ready for 2016.

I whole heartedly agree. I think it's natural to look at all angles that will help us in the mid terms. Even if that means a change at leadership.. let's at least talk about it. And this isn't an attack on Pelosi for being a woman... Schumer is on thin ice too as far as I'm concerned.

...about Schumer too. Doesn't mean we need a wholesale house clean. But we need to look, to have the conversation. The last campaign was not run well. I know, I know, she won by 3M votes and that matters but the Democratic leadership needed to be screaming about gerrymandering 20 years ago. Just as one example.

And Democrats have lost the mantel of being THE Party of Jobs. That has to change.

We hear from both sides. What I do know, is it is not a "good" Democrat with the statements he has made about Pelosi and he is wrong. He ran against her and lost. That matters, listening to what he has to say.

It is part of the conversation for "support all Democrats".

When a Democrat or outsider are about tainting our party, then the hypocritical hairs have to be called out to avoid creating a false premise.

I can't remember if it was Wednesday or yesterday that I was listening to him on Sirius on my way into work.

He specifically stated something along the lines of 'southern state pro life candidate should be okay'.

I'm all for regional approaches - but does this guy EVER touch on anything that is of value to anyone outside of the Midwest or South?

He should NEVER be the leader of the Democratic Party. Stupak Amendment is a line for me that he crossed.

But sometimes you have to decide not to try to tear your own party apart for the greater good, as you said. Ryan's clearly not interested in the greater good, but I think he's picked the wrong woman to retaliate against.

I mean, Pelosi is the Minority Leader for this session, all of it. I don't see Ryan being able to drive some silly "no confidence" vote on her. After '18 there will be another chance to elect a leader, hopefully Speaker of the House. If someone can beat Nancy in a fair vote, more power to them. But for now, she's the leader of House Dems. Arguing it now just breeds dissension at a time we need some party cohesion.
