IMO, Now that the SC is folding for this yr, Thomas and/or Roberts could be

up for retirement. Time for them to make the big bucks.

Also they don't what to be around for the constitutional crisis that will be the outcome of the current congress.

The buzz is that Kennedy is going to announce his retirement on Monday. Also I don't see Roberts leaving yet but it is very likely that Thomas will retire in the next two years so a Republican can replace him.

You maybe mean Kennedy (who will be 81 next month)? Thomas just turned 69 yesterday.

Breyer will be 80 next year and Ginsberg is 84 and we have to hope to hell that both of them can hang on.

he lied about her income on his financial disclosure form and had to go back (only 7 years I think) and file amendments. Ooops!

I expect the Roberts have a good chunk of change though.

Thomas would have no more reason to exist.

But it seems he latched onto Scalia's paisan - Alito - so he may end up hanging on to the bitter end.
