up for retirement. Time for them to make the big bucks.
Also they don't what to be around for the constitutional crisis that will be the outcome of the current congress.

(7,410 posts)The buzz is that Kennedy is going to announce his retirement on Monday. Also I don't see Roberts leaving yet but it is very likely that Thomas will retire in the next two years so a Republican can replace him.

Breyer will be 80 next year and Ginsberg is 84 and we have to hope to hell that both of them can hang on.

But it seems he latched onto Scalia's paisan - Alito - so he may end up hanging on to the bitter end.
