Koch chief says health care bill insufficiently conservative
By STEVE PEOPLES
COLORADO SPRING, Colo. (AP) -- Chief lieutenants in the Koch brothers' political network lashed out at the Senate Republican health care bill on Saturday as not conservative enough, becoming a powerful outside critic as GOP leaders try to rally support for their plan among rank-and-file Republicans.
Tim Phillips, who leads Americans For Prosperity, the Koch network's political arm, called the Senate's plans for Medicaid "a slight nip and tuck" of President Barack Obama's health care law, a modest change he described as "immoral."
"This Senate bill needs to get better," Phillips said. "It has to get better."
Some Republican senators have raised concern about cuts to Medicaid, which provides health care coverage to millions of poor and middle-income Americans. Several more conservative senators have voiced opposition because they feel it does not go far enough in dismantling what they call "Obamacare."

no children on parents plan either, they'd rather have children workers on their own plan .

(31,261 posts)Do they want a Scrooge era Britain like America where the rich have everything and everyone else are paupers? Do they think they can survive a collapse of society where cops become private protection services hired out to the highest bidders? Do they expect that they can destroy the desire of the masses to live under the rule of law to exist as they stomp everyone but the rich like them into the dirt?

(20,187 posts)Sure, the Kochs, Donald Trump and the Walton heirs grew their families businesses, but it's not like any of them are self made.
When millions lose their health insurance, some will die or become disabled prematurely. So what are those tax breaks for the 1% worth in lives to them? How many bodies is okay? 100? 1000? 10000? As Liz Warren said, these tax cuts are blood money.

(4,377 posts)The parents usually experienced normal life at some point as they grew their businesses. These fucks have never known what it's like to not be a millionaire or billionaire, and as such have no concept of real life.

(14,971 posts)no social safety net, privately owned police forces and roads .Koch funded professors at George Mason teach courses on the need to get rid of Democracy. They're Libertarians who've latched onto the Republican Party and made it even worse than it was. Our Koch owned legislature is killing NC.

(1,798 posts)One that would be even worse today as the cost of healthcare is far higher. Most people could never afford most healthcare under their plan.
It is evil.

(51,076 posts)the way they word this, (Its not conservative enough, etc,) goes right over the heads of the tRump voters though. They don't say anything about how any help from the government for our health care is what they're shooting for rather just that it isn't conservative enough
The kochs stole a ton of money from the native Americans back in the '60 and early '70s by under reporting the amount of oil they were stealing from them here in oklahoma. They were finally taken to court and found guilty, (if my memory serves me right,) and had to pay a small pittance but not anywhere near what they stole The kochs are Thieves and nothing more. Ought to be rode out of town on a rail then tared and feathered for the bastards they are.
