Haven't heard a peep out of him about it since the election. Of course, it's to his advantage not to have term limits. It forces Repubs to vote for his crappy agenda, because if they don't, they're out the next election.
Imagine if McConnell and Ryan would be forced out because their time was up. Of course some good Democrats would have to go as well. But a more independent Senate and House could only benefit the American people. Or maybe the opposite?

(3,040 posts)Having deep pocketed incumbents with wealthy donors that simply out spend any competitor in both the primaries and in general elections when their competitors would have been more popular with the electorate.

Lobbyists and big money don't have term limits and they are the problem. They will simply keep going no matter who's elected.

(2,268 posts)The main problem is unlimited spending by the wealthy, who use their money to put politicians in office to pass legislation that further increases their wealth. It's a never ending cycle.
