people like Sean Hannity and Brit Hume for confirming that Trump did indeed collude with the Russians. They wouldnt be selling the if he did, it wouldnt be a crime meme unless they knew that it had actually happened. Apparently theyve been instructed to stop peddling the its-a-witch-hunt denials and move on to the yeah, but storyline. And what could possibly be more demonstrative of a patriotic pOTUS than colluding with the enemies who have vowed to destroy us?
A BIG SHOUT-OUT to Kellyanne Conway for sharing the information that people who lose their health insurance can simply go out and get a job that offers coverage as an employee benefit. Hey, who knew? With all this Trump-speak about creating much-needed jobs, we now know that there are millions of jobs out there just waiting to be filled by anyone who wants one. Im sure this comes as welcome news to everyone who has been chronically unemployed although those who voted Trump in order to get one of those jobs he promised to bring back are probably a bit perturbed that those jobs have been available all along and they come complete with healthcare coverage!
A BIG SHOUT-OUT to Sean Spicer for proving every day that he has absolutely no clue whats going on in the White House hes supposed to be communicating on behalf of. I think we can all agree that Sean has done a remarkable job at saying nothing of substance since he was appointed to his position, and continues to do so. Given how many times Seans response to a question about Trumps thinking has been I havent had a chance to discuss that with him, we can only surmise that the two have never actually met and yet Lyin Spice perseveres in explaining to the nation that not being able to explain anything is best done without cameras.
A BIG SHOUT-OUT to all of the elected Republicans who are so proud of their support of AHCA (aka the Kill Americans Bill), they are hiding from their constituents undoubtedly because they are too humble to take credit for ridding the country of the sick, the disabled, and the dying who are a drain on society.
A BIG SHOUT-OUT to Republicans who are brave enough to call-out the moochers who have pre-existing conditions due to their own poor lifestyle choices like four-year-olds who have cancer because theyre apparently two-pack-a-day smokers who have been drinking to excess and eating junk food since they were born. Clearly these kids have brought disaster upon themselves.
And finally a MAJOR BIGLY SHOUT-OUT to pResident Trump, who has done a truly incredible job of fucking an entire nation which is not surprising considering how miniscule his dick is. Obviously he knew that if he shoved his small appendage up the asses of the people who voted for him, they wouldnt even feel it until it was too late.
I think its time we Democrats, we progressives, we bleeding-heart liberals finally acknowledged the fact that Republicans are the salvation of a country that is being brought down by things like compassion, empathy, and the foolish notion that we are somehow responsible for our fellow citizens. Its time to give all credit due to those who fight daily to expunge these qualities from our collective consciousness and replace them with those good Christian values the GOP have laid claim to for years like letting the hungry starve, letting the homeless expire in the streets, letting children born with pre-existing medical conditions suffer and die for lack of affordable treatment.
The path to GOP progress is clear. Its just a matter of relinquishing every value, every guiding principle, every notion of humanity we Americans once held to be sacrosanct.
So a BIG SHOUT-OUT to all of those determined to save us from we evil-doers who still care about our country and our countrymen, while they persist in promoting the idea that being our brothers keeper is not only un-Christian - it's as un-American as it gets.

(83,754 posts)Mitch got his Polio.
So, to understand how terrible this is, first you need to indulge me and listen to a story. You see, way back in 1944, when Mitch McConnell was only 2 years old, he contracted polio. The disease, which often paralyzed those it affected, hit McConnell hard and threatened his ability to walk, but thanks to the hospital in Warm Springs, Georgia, that was funded by the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (NFIP), a charity started by FDR to treat people with polio, McConnell was able to recover and live a normal life and grow up to become a senator.
Well, as you know, McConnell and his cohorts in the Senate have been drafting legislation in secret that will take health care away from millions and millions of Americans. They've been doing so with no public hearings, no public debate, while refusing to meet with patients' groups that wanted to get the senator's ear about how this legislation could negatively affect, you know, sick people. Among the groups he rejected meetings with were such controversial organizations as the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, and the March of Dimes.

Paul Boy got his.
Representative Paul Ryan is one example of the millions of people whose lives have depended on our social contract with the American people. Without this benefit, his mother would have had to make even tougher decisions and Representative Paul Ryan may not have been able to pay for his college education. This social contract lifted him and his entire family out of a tough situation.
Many people do not know that 30 percent of the social security fund goes directly to widows, orphans and the disabled. It is not solely for the benefit of retirees. Unfortunately this social contract is under a regressive attack by the Republicans, including Paul Ryan.

Yup the good old rich white guys got there's. The rest of you can go to hell. They are telling us their life is more important than ours and our families.
Their families were covered at government expense and yet they refuse to cover us.

The fact is that those now trying to sell the "if he did it, it's not a crime" bullshit KNOW it's bullshit. So why are they peddling that line?
I think we know why.

(145,216 posts)Here is some more on why collusion between trump and Russia would be a crime http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2017/may/31/gregg-jarrett/fox-news-hosts-wrong-no-law-forbids-russia-trump-c/
Nathaniel Persily at Stanford University Law School said one relevant statute is the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002.
"A foreign national spending money to influence a federal election can be a crime," Persily said. "And if a U.S. citizen coordinates, conspires or assists in that spending, then it could be a crime."
Persily pointed to a 2011 U.S. District Court ruling based on the 2002 law. The judges said that the law bans foreign nationals "from making expenditures to expressly advocate the election or defeat of a political candidate."
Another election law specialist, John Coates at Harvard University Law School, said if Russians aimed to shape the outcome of the presidential election, that would meet the definition of an expenditure.
"The related funds could also be viewed as an illegal contribution to any candidate who coordinates (colludes) with the foreign speaker," Coates said.
To be sure, no one is saying that coordination took place. Whats in doubt is whether the word "collusion" is as pivotal as Jarrett makes it out to be.
Coates said discussions between a campaign and a foreigner could violate the law against fraud.
"Under that statute, it is a federal crime to conspire with anyone, including a foreign government, to deprive another of the intangible right of honest services, " Coates said. "That would include fixing a fraudulent election, in my view, within the plain meaning of the statute."
Josh Douglas at the University of Kentucky Law School offered two other possible relevant statutes.
"Collusion in a federal election with a foreign entity could potentially fall under other crimes, such as against public corruption," Douglas said. "There's also a general anti-coercion federal election law."
In sum, legal experts mentioned four criminal laws that might have been broken. The key is not whether those statutes use the word collusion, but whether the activities of the Russians and Trump associates went beyond permissible acts.

(82,849 posts)Because every time Spicer is asked about something Trump did or said, he says that he hasn't talked to the president about that specific action or tweet. I mean, are they exchanging recipes? Talking about Indian motorcycles? Discussing the pennant races? If they talk, what do they talk about since Spicer never seems to have an answer about Trump's doings.

(27,814 posts)... borscht recipes - which is what we're supposed to believe was the topic of conversation between Trump's campaign and Russian operatives.
Regular salt or kosher salt? Steamed beets or boiled? Green onions or sweet Vidalias - yes or no?
These are the questions that try men's souls.

(1,134 posts)Thanks, Nance--nice summary of the Repukes, who are bereft of any compassion for those not rich or powerful. But The Palmer Report is showing it should all come to a head for The Dumpster and associates in the next two weeks. I'm guessing Donnie Dimwit will resign a post he never really wanted, but just hoped he could mine while in pursuit. Now even that may come tumbling down, as RICO charges loom--and they are incredibly punitive. I just hope there is something brewing for sixPence, too, as he terrifies me. He is the worst kind of Repuke--a bible-thumping bigot who dreams of the rapture, but seems outwardly sane and non-threatening. Those are the types who can really do a lot of damage. Hard to believe he got here as a failed Governor, who even blood-red Indiana (my native state) despised!

Anybody who's been awake the last few decades knows that more and more jobs don't offer any benefits whatsoever.

Much less, GOOD jobs.

(27,814 posts)There's nothing wrong with butt sex - as long as it's between two consenting adults.
The problem with Trump's butt sex is (a) the country didn't consent, and (b) due to his tiny dick, most citizens didn't even notice they were getting reamed up the ass.
