Naked man goes on rampage, bites a chunk out of another man's stomach

ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida (WTLV) -- Officers with the St. Augustine Police Department were called to a home on Palmetto Avenue a little before 4:30 a.m. Saturday after residents found a naked man on their roof.

When police got to the home, they found 22-year-old Jeremiah Haughee being restrained by two men on the floor. Haughee was naked and in a puddle of urine and broken glass, according to his arrest report.

Two officers handcuffed Haughee, but he was reportedly so combative, one officer had to go back to his patrol car to get a pair of leg shackles.

<...>

The two men tried to restrain Haughee the best they could until officers could get to the home. During the fight, Haughee bit the homeowner in the stomach.

Police said the bite was so severe it will leave the man permanently disfigured.
The son received injuries to his elbow. Both the men refused medical treatment.

me on whatever the hell he was on, but it sure as hell isn't marijuana. There are too many of these incidents recently where people lose their shit, get naked and start biting people for it to be a coincidence, and it doesn't look like to me it's pot or alcohol.

Maybe meth, or something, but this looks new.

I don't smoke pot, but I tried it when I was in my early twenties and *I* never ran around naked and biting people.

Like I say, maybe it's a bad batch of meth out there, which is a horrible drug as we all know, but it could be something new like these bath salts. Whatever it is, it seems to make some people lose their ever-loving minds and go crazy. If you read the article, they had to take him down with Ketamine to get him under control. Isn't that a horse tranquilizer?

Rabies symptoms and signs occur after exposure and may consist of some or many of the following: odd behaviors, delirium, combativeness, loss of muscle function, muscle spasms, drooling, convulsions, pain, and other problems.

http://www.medicinenet.com/rabies/article.htm

I hope the victim at least followed up to see if the doctors discovered anything about the attacker's strange behavior that might affect his health...

Haughee was arrested at Flagler Hospital. After he was treated for his injuries, he was taken to the St. Johns County Jail.

Haughee was booked on charges of burglary/assault, aggravated battery, simple battery, three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.

Haughee's bond was set at $32,000 and he was released from jail on Sunday.

Because there is no statute for being under the influence of illegal drugs, Haughee is not being tested to see if he was under the influence of any substances.

I read that the stimulant drug labeled "bath salts" causes the user to feel too hot so they take off their clothes. While there was speculation that in an earlier incident, where a man's face was bitten off by a naked man, that bath salts were involved, it was later determined that the perpetrator only had pot in his system.

This is quite confusing, as pot has not been known to cause violent behavior.

something is in the water, no pun.

We get naked and biting, but in ten years I only got two. One was loonie as a toon... (yup, straight to psych ward for a hold), and the other was on something... don't remember what.

Listening to EMS scanners these days, and yup, 51-50 comes over the radio every so often, but at least my locals will call and OD and OD... the question would be of what? You can OD on almost anything.

There are several drugs, off the top of my head, that can lead to that behavior, and a couple are very well, prescribed... as in a rare side effect.

Covering up a TB Outbreak is pretty serious, and now everyone in their communities are at risk. Scott closed the hospital, but the group in Florida already knew this. For them to pretend they had no idea about a CDC report sounds idiotic.

It's certainly centered in one geographical area, but I wouldn't say confined. There was a young man in PA that went on a naked biting rampage after a trip to florida, so it's not confined. Nor is their TB outbreak, either, but god forbid a Republican like Rick Scott Governor look bad.

"confined," per se - but concentrated.

A similar incident happened in China, recently, as well.

I certainly don't want to sound like I'm donning a tin foil hat, but as we both agree, covering up a TB outbreak HAS happened and the CIA DID allow crack cocaine to infiltrate Los Angeles.

Either scenario isn't so far-fetched anymore.

Alcohol was the culprit in that case. Of the 10,000 years since mankind has been fermenting beers and liquors, suddenly, it has come out that it makes people eat faces. It couldn't possibly be something new, since all of these cases have come out in the last month. No way. That's a long shot. Alcohol and pot cause these problems, if you believe what is shown on television. It couldn't *POSSIBLY* be something new on the street.

Intentional or unintentional?

If unintentional then most likely a fertilizer or pesticide not meant to be burned, inhaled or eaten, etc. Or a dealer who sells lots of different things and cross-contaminates his substances?

If intentional, a psycho dealer mixing a new substance with some pot sales? A group wanting to discredit MMJ? The psycho state of Florida for pick an insane reason. The CIA for pick an insane reason.

Or none of the above or all manner of things in between. Fun to consider tho.
