Nina Turner takes the reins of Bernie's Our Revolution movement.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2017/06/29/nina-turner-a-democratic-party-critic-takes-reins-of-sanders-founded-group/?utm_term=.625184d28b16

Former Ohio state senator Nina Turner is taking the reins of Our Revolution, the political group launched by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) to elect progressive candidates — a move that elevates a dogged critic of the Democratic Party just as Sanders takes a bigger role in its messaging.

In a statement Thursday, Our Revolution announced that Turner would replace Jeff Weaver, Sanders’s 2016 presidential campaign manager and longtime strategist, who is currently serving on the party’s unity commission to reform its primaries.

“We are thankful for the work Jeff has done and look forward to his next project,” said Our Revolution board chairman and former Communications Workers of America president Larry Cohen in a statement. “We’re thrilled that our board member and progressive champion Nina Turner will be our new president.”

But the stylistic differences between Weaver and Turner are vast, symptomatic of the divisions within a left that’s locked out of power and arguing about how to get it back. Turner, who made a splash in 2015 by jumping from Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign to Sanders’s, has become a superstar among left-wing activists who think the Democrats have become so “corporate” as to raise questions about whether they’re worth saving.

Yes. They seem to like their loyalty oaths and purity pledges every bit as much as Trump. nt. NCTraveler Jun 2017 #5

Clinton in the general election even though he voted Sanders in the primary?

I need to put them together if true, or keep them separate if not true.

Thanks in advance.

From the Op i read from, I was getting that it was merely a group of four. Thank-you NCTraveler.

They are starting to make a lot of bad decisions. Their initial growth was from the Sanders connection. Weaver was someone competent enough to grow an organization. He possessed the skills to do so. With their newly elected President they will simply become an extremist organization that calls for more loyalty oaths while yelling at walls.

We need a strong line on the Democrat base instead of accommodating. People can be smart and vote Republicans out or throw a tantrum voting for someone they know does not have a chance. It clearly shows coddling, conjoling, reason won't work.

Our Revolution is going to find itself struggling between being coopted (fierce resistance against Tr*mp is now mainstream) and marginalized (greatly diminished appetite for circular firing squads).

When Corey Booker, a corrupt villain according to the Our Revolution crowd, says that "there is great value, if not justice, in opening up Medicare to all" where does that leave them?

Now you know that depends on where the Blue Dog stood during the 2016 primary.

NINA TURNER, A DEMOCRATIC PARTY CRITIC, TAKES REINS OF SANDERS-FOUNDED GROUP

And from the article, here's a direct quote by Turner three days ago:

“What is the difference between the Democrats & Republicans again?” Turner tweeted. “Oh, the difference between the fox & the wolf!”

The republicans must be gleefully banking all the quotes they can use against us. At this rate they won't need help from the Russians; our "allies" will do the heavy lifting for them.
