High school graduate shot in the head in road rage incident in Pennsylvania, police search for killer

A Pennsylvania high school grad was gunned down in a senseless act of road rage — and cops say her killer is still on the loose.

Bianca Nikol Roberson, 18, was driving a green Chevrolet Malibu on Route 100 in West Goshen, Pa., Wednesday afternoon, police told NBC 10. When she went to merge into a lane, a red pickup truck tried to move into the lane at the same.

Both cars were trying to merge into the part of the highway where it goes from two lanes into one. When both cars were trying to get position, the driver of the pickup truck pulled out a gun and shot Roberson in the head, police said.

Roberson was killed instantly and her car went off the road, crashing into the woods. The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene and continued down the highway.

An 18-year-old Chester County motorist was shot in the head and killed Wednesday evening by another driver as the two tried to merge into a single lane on the Route 100 bypass in West Goshen, the county District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Bianca Roberson was driving south as the road approaches Route 202 and goes from two lanes to one, the District Attorney’s Office said. Witnesses said a man in a faded red pickup truck was jockeying with Roberson to merge into the same lane, pulled out a gun, and shot her. Her car veered off the road around 5:30 p.m., according to District Attorney Thomas P. Hogan.

Roberson had just graduated from Bayard Rustin High School and was headed to Jacksonville (Fla.) University in the fall. The homicide was Chester County’s first of 2017, Hogan said.

In Westmoreland Co., PA, I think the count is 1 in 7 people have a gun permit. I feel much safer when I visit NYC. Afraid every day...we stopped at a local fruit market the other day and a couple hillbillies had there rifles out in the parking lot. Needless to say, we turned around very quickly.
