He is absolutely NOT doing the best job he can as the p word, he's not even trying to do a good job because he doesn't give a flip about the country or us. What he's doing is feathering his own nest and doing Putin's bidding, that's it. He has rallies because the whiney crying inner baby wants applause and he thinks that the well screened crowds love him so he wants their affirmations. He's pushing healthcare destruction because he wants those tax dollars and can't steal enough $ if it isn't freed up this way. He wants to get to tax cuts to remove the AMT because that's all he's paid recently. He wants infrastructure because he's selling us off for pennies on the dollar to foreign countries and a few American oligarchs with a big cut for himself, of course. Americans will pay forever through the nose to drive on roads and bridges.

then there are the Russian sanctions and NATO, he's just itching to give Putin everything he wants on these fronts and fuck up the entire world. How dare they notice that he's a classless idiot bully, he'll get back at them!

Nope, Drumpf isn't trying one bit to be the actual president of the United States, he's aiming for lifetime dictator of Trumplandia, coming soon in his mind.

Trump's base won't be swayed by any of this. If anything, it goes toward destroying the integrity of the office and normalizing his deplorable behavior, further inuring the public.

Morning Joe will get a huge ratings boost as Mika and Joe get painted in a sympathetic light after enabling this third-rate mobster throughout the election cycle.

When I heard Scarborough say that Trump has somehow "changed" from the guy they knew previously, something didn't sound right. Nothing has changed about Trump in decades. Nothing. Not according to those who've interacted with him and it's obvious to folks everywhere. What we have now is the person he's always shown himself to be.

So why Scarborough's wildly errant characterization? How could he be this dense?

Last night I heard a group of pundits lump Trump's treatment of Mika in with his administration's treatment of the White House press pool and I winced. Those reporters dealing with the White House are outright journalists, doing their best to keep the American public informed.

Mika Brzezinski is a talking head on a dog-and-pony morning talk show, or as Scarborough put it, "a cable TV host." She doesn't deserve to receive what Trump's folks dealt her but to lump her in with reporters out there hustling their asses off isn't exactly true either.

Something about this whole thing is very bizarre. It's like pro wrestling and reality TV mashed up with politics and we know how scripted and "fake" the first two of those three are.

He has NEVER worked, and he isn't working now, and he's not going to work, because he is clueless. The handful of lowlifes around him have managed to keep everything from totally imploding, but the clock is ticking. This can only go on so long. Dump's mental acuity is sinking daily, so quickly that it is no longer on the down low. It is in your face and for the world to see. Ryan and McConnell had dreams of running the country; just let Dump rusticate in the WH and at the resorts, and they'd take care of everything. But by now they have realized that it's too late for that. Dump sabotages anyone and everyone in his orbit. He is the equivalent of the Ebola virus in politics. We are in deep shit.

President Donald Trump on Friday fired back at the hosts of MSNBC’s Morning Joe program.

Specifically, the president responded to allegations that the White House asked co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski to apologize personally to Trump for their negative coverage of him in exchange for him telling the National Enquirer to back off of a negative story planned about the couple.

“Watched low rated Morning Joe for first time in long time,” Trump said. “FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show.”

headline: Joe Scarborough says White House aides promised Trump would 'spike' a tabloid story on Joe in exchange for an apology

"MSNBC's "Morning Joe" TV host Joe Scarborough asserted Friday that three top White House staffers had told him that President Trump could arrange to "spike" a negative story about him in the National Enquirer if Scarborough would call the president and apologize for his negative coverage of Trump.

"He described the White House officials as "three people at the very top of the administration."

"They said if you call the president up and you apologize for your coverage, then he will pick up the phone and basically spike the story," Scarborough said.

"Scarborough said his response was, "Like ‘are you kidding me. I don't know what they have, run a story, I'm not going to do it,’ Scarborough said. "

About the human soul, that part of our consciousness that is not corrupt, no matter how small that part may be. You look at criminals who have gotten away with crimes and atrocities... How many do you see who, rather than count their good fortune that they have, in some cases, literally gotten Away with murder, do something comparatively small and foolish and receive punishment. There is a part of us that knows when we have done wrong and knows that the balance of punishment is deserved. And they will continue to push their "luck", until, like 45's casinos, they crash and receive that judgement.

I know of no other earthly explanation of why people who supposedly are of superior intelligence would do something so stupid as to publish threats of blackmail to the media via text message while under investigation!

Fri Jun 30, 2017, 11:45 PM

It was staff.

Trump is not of superior intelligence. I think he had average grades. Not to confuse ability to turn $14 Million into $30 Million with smarts. Two different things. Put $14 Million in a total-index fund, and leave it there. It'll turn into $30 Million in about 10 to 15 years. Even for someone who is stupid. Trump did worse than that. He ended up with LESS than an index fund, after doing all his wheelings and dealings. And had 6 bankruptcies along the way.

I don't think he "knows he's done something wrong" deep down. He is not the sort to do soul searching. Those who know him have said he was a bully from a young age and hasn't changed at all. He doesn't think. He's rich, he was good looking, the world was good to him...no reason to second guess anything.

I think he does stupid things because there's something wrong with him. In his head. He can't control himself...what he does or says. He's out of touch with reality. He doesn't seem to be able to distinguish between what's important and what's not.
