Veterans in Defense of Liberty

I just got a solicitation call to support "Veterns". The caller was ever so polite and apologized for bothering me.
I was thanked for supporting our veterans and hoped that I would continue supporting them. There was something
that just didn't seem right - so I asked him for the name of the particular organization he was calling for.

It was Veterans in Support of Liberty. I looked it up while he was talking to me. It's a right wing Republican group.
How many other non-suspecting people do they solicit who don't investigate whom they're really supporting with their donation?

I told him that he was calling for a Republican group and that I was the Democratic Chair of my town, so I wouldn't be giving him any money. Shouldn't there be disclosure up front if it's a political solicitation?
