Something that drives me crazy about the GOP, the media, and stupid, low info voters:

Be it at the state or federal level; when Democrats hold power the message is, "Hey, you've got to compromise with Republicans if you want to get anything done "

When Republicans hold power the messages is, "Hey, fuck you!" "We won and don't have to compromise on anything because we have a clear mandate of the people."

God, this makes me nuts!

He is essentially offering his vote to Trump for some meaningless "compromise" when the reality will be 99% GOP bill and 1% concession to Blue Dog-ville Manchin and friends...

We as Democrats simply suck at toeing the party line...we are the proverbial herd of cats and the GOP is stocked with lemmings...

is a tragic statement on many of our fellow citizens. That they refuse to see their hypocrisy is what galls me the most. The 'both sides do it' defense is so much fucking bullshit. I have family I have refused to talk to since November, because I know they are Trump supporters & I don't think I can keep my contempt for them to myself.

always keep that in mind. And if you don't understand the difference, you are probably a Repub.

No offense intended.

that were different before. Once Donnie "won," I can't either. To me they view things in such a way as shows who they are on the inside. It's not just a difference of opinion anymore.

Another manifestation: when Democrats are nominally in charge, Republicans block and howl about every action that Democrats take, on the grounds that the Dems don't have a mandate and therefore *must* work with Republicans in order to have any legitimacy.

But when Republicans are at the wheel, they clearly and consistently refuse to make any concessions, even on minor issues.

The bottom line is this: Republicans are better at playing politics than Democrats are.

McConnell's in the Russian thing up to his neck, IMO, & that's why he held off the confirmation hearing & why GOP leadership won't impeach. If they do, the Con will rat them all out. Taking out the upper echelon of GOP leadership is the only way to save the country. I hope the IC is up to the task.

That party continues to rule.

It is time to fight fire with fire, or be consumed by it.

They shift as the situation changes. When it is to their advantage, no compromise. When they need compromise, it is the right thing to do.

Just like it was not OK for Bill to have an affair. Now it's OK, because Donald did the same and they need to support Donald.
