Confident. Incorrigible. Bully: Little Donny was a lot like candidate Donald Trump
JUNE 2016
"Trump has said he hasn't changed since first grade"
{excerpt}In elementary school, Donny impressed classmates with his athleticism, shenanigans and refusal to acknowledge mistakes, even one so trivial as misidentifying a popular professional wrestler. No matter his pals ridicule, one recalled, he doubled down, insisting wrestler Antonino Roccas name was Rocky Antonino.
At the military academy where he attended high school, Donny grew taller, more muscular and tougher. Struck with a broomstick during a fight, he tried to push a fellow cadet out a second-floor window, only to be thwarted when two other students intervened.{/excerpt}
{excerpt}Around Times Square, they discovered novelty shops, where they bought stink bombs, hand buzzers and fake vomit perfect accessories for pranking their pals. The shops also sold switchblades. On Broadway, West Side Story was a smash, and the boys, imagining themselves as gang members, bought knives to fit the part.
Near the end of seventh grade, Fred discovered Donalds knives and was infuriated to learn about his trips into the city. He decided his sons behavior warranted a radical change. In the months before eighth grade, Fred Trump enrolled Donald at the New York Military Academy, a boarding school 70 miles from Jamaica Estates.{/excerpt}

(4,033 posts)I don't see us being able to recover from Trump and the GOP. They control pretty much all 3 branches of the government, don't give a damn about the voters, are working as hard as they know how to rape and pillage the wealth of the country, they have actually established a 'commission' to suppress Democratic voters, they are running ads encouraging violence and terrorist attacks against liberals, and completely ignoring the Constitution.
I don't see the USA that we grew up in surviving this all-out assault. The best we can hope for is to split into two countries, but even then, who gets the military and the nukes? It is one thing to try and fight a civil war with muzzle loaders, it is another thing entirely when you are fighting against the most powerful army on earth. And don't think that the majority of the army will desert and fight on the side of the liberals, since the military has always been on the Conservative side.
Stick a fork in us folks, we're done. We can stave it off for a little while with our protests and our sit-ins and our letters and our Town Halls, but once the GOP gets control of who gets to vote we will have no place left. And the so-called free press will be FOX News and the National Enquirer.

(11,134 posts)Why would any Christian vote for this guy? I don't think Trump to be THE Anti-Christ but he is surely AN anti-Christ - the antithesis of everything Christian. Not a "turn the other cheek" kind of guy.
